Baytuna
Baytuna is a private family-planning app for a single household. Its purpose is to bring one family's shared life into a single app: the family calendar, weekly meal plans, shopping and to-do lists, Qatar prayer times, the household budget, trips, and the small goals a couple keeps together. It is handmade for one family and is not open for public sign-up.
What Baytuna does
- One shared week — both partners see the same calendar, meal plan, lists and plans, kept in sync between their phones.
- Meals that write the shopping list — planning dinner sends its missing ingredients to the shared shopping list.
- Prayer times on Qatar's official timetable, with a gentle daily view.
- Lists and to-dos — shared shopping, chores, gift ideas, and each person's tasks, surfaced by day and by upcoming plan.
- Trips and visits — planning one creates its checklist, packing lists, and calendar entry together.
How Baytuna uses Google user data
If a member of the household chooses to connect Google Calendar, Baytuna uses that access only to:
- read events from the calendars they select, so the family's week can be shown inside Baytuna;
- create one shared "Baytuna — Family" calendar in their Google account, if they ask it to;
- create, update, or delete calendar events only when a member explicitly adds, edits, or removes them in Baytuna.
Google data is never used for advertising, never sold, never shared outside the household, and never used to train AI models. Access tokens are stored server-side only, and disconnecting inside the app removes them along with the mirrored calendar data. Full details are in the privacy policy.
Other connections
Baytuna can also connect to TickTick (to show and update the household's to-dos) and can receive budget summaries from the household's own budgeting tool. Each connection is optional, made by the member it belongs to, and removable at any time.
